We operate on a rolling admission basis until the start of the camp; please send your application as soon as you can.

Students attending high school in Egypt and currently enrolled in grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 are eligible to register as campers for this program.

LeadEgypt is happy to announce its first leadership camp in Egypt in the summer of 2011. All in a fun, sports and learning environment the Camp is designed to bring together the most promising high school students together to prepare them to lead Egypt.  The unique camp will take place the first Eco Lodge resort in Sinai, “Basata”. Our theme is “Live harder, Lead Smarter!”

Program Highlights

Know what it takes to be a leader — Effective leadership not only requires great personal vision, it requires that you know how to express your vision so that others can see it, believe it, and work with you to achieve it.

At the Camp you will:

  ■   Attend Workshops, activities and competitions led by Franny Mcaleer

■     Work as a team member in a hands-on leadership simulation that focuses on real life situations that leaders face today.

 ■    Develop and polish Thinking Skills  Time Management, Decision Making, Team Building, Conflict Resolution, Public Speaking, and Communication. 

■       Participate  in a Community Service Project designed to help you understand the importance and benefit of becoming involved. Learn how to carry the “call for involvement” back home with you and share it in a way that your call will be heard and answered by others in your school and community.

 ■     Make new friends and meet students from around the country who share your passion to excel and lead others.

 ■     Live the simple “Basata” Life. . The name itself, translated as ‘simplicity’ from Arabic, personifies the philosophy behind this environmentally conscious tourist project.  In Basata, you will escape from the concrete high rises, neon nightlife and the pressures of modern living.  TV’s, blaring radios, and air-conditioning are not a part of the Basata way of life. However, snorkeling at sunrise, interacting with the eclectic clientele, and admiring the moonrise or stargazing are the activities you can experience in Basata.
